Strange... It's been four weeks now since we landed in NZ, and we still haven't found any locally grown kiwifruit, except for the golden Zespri's... All others are actually imported from Italy!! Questions in all main supermarket chains have resulted in a standard answer "I don't know, maybe it's not the time of the year?".
Anyway, NZ has been really great so far - lots of short nice drives and walks and one very heavy trekking, the famous Tongariro Alpine Crossing, 19.4 km with 700 m ascent and 1100 m descent, done in 7.15 hours... It's two days later now and the pain in our legs is finally gone... Four more days and we're back in Oz, where we will update you girls and boys with some of our 2500 brand new pictures :-)
Hugs from Down Under!
